This weekend I spoke at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for the "Real World Design" Conference, working with the design students currently enrolled in UWSP's design program. Four alumni were asked to come back and share on what's been happening since graduation. I spoke on Career Development and Freelancing. Saturday we had a workshop with designer Josh Gille on Illustration: "Creating Seamless Patterns" followed by portfolio reviews.
I was impressed with the work I saw during the portfolio reviews... UWSP is producing talent, year in and year out. What a great staff and a group of really determined students. Thank you to all who attended, and thank you AIGA students for hosting. I hope to do this again, soon!
